My friend and I have become carpenters of a sort.  We have been over to my Granddad’s workshop.  Granddad loves to make things.  We are going to make a couple of bird feeders and a couple for the squirrels too.  Granddad is showing us how to put it all together.  He has gotten the materials together.  Of course we had to save up our money to buy material.  He believes in working for what you get.  We were telling him about our disaster recovery plan for the animals.  We didn’t know how to make up a plan and wanted his input.  Granddad told us to think about it and see what we could come up with.  In the meantime he showed up how to make our bird feeders.  It was such fun making something like that from scratch.  I think we could probably make another kind for the squirrels, since we made sure they couldn’t get into the bird feeders.  The squirrels are crafty little creatures and can scoot up that skinny pole that we put our birdhouse on in the back yard.  Sometimes we sit out back and watch the animals come and go.  It’s like watching one of those nature shows on TV.
